225/45/R17 (dunno the offset) with tein S.techs lowered are what i was able to fit with no spacers and no fender rolling

on my 18's i had some 245's so thats 1cm difference(also on an 8" wide wheel), and i think an inch is 2.5 cm or such, depending on the offset, it shouldn't matter, i also think defgeph, lagos, pressure2, hurley97 all them have 225's on 17's and a drop with no issues, so an extra 10mm i doubt would be an issue, cept maybe for full lock steering which you wouldn't do often anyways

235/40/17 on a 17x8 +35 offset and you should be fine.

yeah but thats a more expensive tire size... for not a ton of handling gain over 225/45/17.

so 235/40/17 +35offest would fit, but also with a drop? cuz im ordering tein s techs. if anything i guess 225/40/17 wouldnt hurt. i really want the 235 though, love the width...

bump for same question.

is 235/40/17s on 17x8 +32s doable? lowered around 2.2" front and 1.7" rear on tanabe coilovers.

fenders will be getting rolled.

i could play it safe and go with the narrower Falken FK 452 but would rather go with the wider Yokohama S.Drive or BFG g-Force T/A™ KDW.

depends on what your doing...if your swapped id suggest the widest you can go because traction is limited...245 50 17's are superb

ya but those are 2.77" taller than stock. not really going for a muscle car look. i want a good look and better traction both off the line and in corners. the 235/40/17s would put me a bit lower to the ground than the 215/45/17s I had and would give me better traction.

bump.

what you guys think?

235/40/17 falken fk452s (which run narrow) on 17x8 +32s with fenders rolled, dropped 2.2" f and 1.7" r...?

That sounds like a nice stance.

I had to roll my fenders on some 245 45 16 tires on 16x8 35 offset wheels.

Rear fenders are flushed with some 15mm spacers.
