Ok,
I know that our cars are 5x100 but what offset do we need? i am worried b/c one of my frineds bought wheels that would fit like 4x100, 5x100, and 5x114 and the offset was for a front wheel drive car or something and they ended up rubbing his springs. i don't want to buy a universal rim that is going to do that. so i know we need a 5x100 bolt pattern but what offset? is there any other pertinent info i need? also what tire sizes do you recomend for both 17"(205/40/17???) and 18"(225/40/18????) wheels thanks cormudgen |

for 17s id say get 215/45/17.
i ended up getting 205/40/17 and i now wish i dint because my ride quality is more harsh with the lower profile tire and they dont fill in the wheel well as much as they should. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

check my profile for pics of 215/45/zr17s. That'd what i'd recommend tire size...the ride quality is perfect. |

I'm running 38mm offset rims with 25mm spacers. Total offset = 62mm. Doesn't adversely affect suspension geometry. Theres a little more steering feel and torquesteer, but when I get bigger wheels that will all go away.
I would love to find a lightweight 17 or 18 x 8 that I like (and that doesnt' cost $600 *coughVOLKcough*) |

+42 offset should be fine. I have +43 with 215/45s and the wheels are a bit sucked in but there is no rubbing or anything. As for the +48s, thats the subaru offset, and they won't work without some spacers.
