I'm wating to buy some heat wraps for my header i'm getting and also wanting to wrap up my intake to try to keep the heat down from my engine.

They make it in spray also. I bought some awhile back i think from some hyundi performance site. You can get it all over the place though. www.jegs.com www.summitracing.com www.optauto.com

You can get taht stuff off ebay for cheap and u get rolls of it.

Also i got some at Radio Shak

Check pegasus or one of the other race supply companies. I would highly recommend against wrapping your header. Its good for power, but its very likely that it will cause your header to crack and fall apart. The thermal stress induced when you insulate them a bunch will make them expand and contract a lot in normal use and put undue stress on the welds. Most header companies void their warranties on headers that have been wrapped for this exact reason.

Wrapping the intake is a good idea tho. I would suggest having the header Jet-Hot coated. It keeps the heat in, but does stress the part (because its coated on the inside).
