gettin a timing belt done , head is wrecked....mechanics doing the job say they cant find a timing belt for it..said it needs 174 teeth?? how can this be they cant locate a proper timing belt???? aaaaaaaaaaaarggggggggggggh

best thing to do is order it yourself from a toyota dealer, part number is 13568-80015 cost me 31 quid the last two times i've bought belts from them, arrived within 3 days smile.gif

Thanks Edophus, you sure thats the part number for the BEAMS 3s-ge?? cos apparently the belts are different lenghts...its the one for BEAMS i need. and Rusty no, the pistons didn't hit, just gettin the job done for peace of mind. have the car 3 years now, jap import, not 100% sure when belt was done last, like a said..just for peace of mind wink.gif

yeah pretty sure, i cant check the database to double check at the moment but thats from the beams forum parts list so i'm sure it will be right, its the same part number as the altezza rs200 timing belt as they are the same.

Thanks man, thats great, problem solved, they ordered the belt through main toyota dealer...fitted it today..ready for collection tomorrow. happy days. thanks again.
