Or you pay someone, cause we all have access to a blast booth. Seriously, wire wheel, a few bucks and a drill (which most of us have) will make it look good. Or do it the hard way, with SOS and a wire brush.

If you have access to a media booth, just tape the bottom off, and tape up the holes. You'll be fine. But if you dont (or cant find one to rent for a day or find a decent price to have someone do the labor) just wire wheel.....seriously...If A wire wheel can go through gloves with some effort, im sure it'll clean all that crap off.

Since you are painting it Spider is right. It doesn't have to be perfect, just really clean so the paint will stick. The blast cabinet will be the fastest but only if you have easy access to one. You could mail it to me to do but the shipping > finding someone to do it locally > cleaning it off yourself. Gunk engine bright works wonders.
