IS the belt that goes on to the alternator in an st actually called an alternator belt? Mine is a bit noisy and I am looking for a new one but I dont know if I am looking for the right part.

Serpintine belt for alternator...you'll have to specify w/ or w/o A/C

Thanks man, i did a seach on the web but no one had anything listed for alternator belt, ill give that a shot.

if its squeeking ,, just spray some belt dressing on it or wd40. u probably dont need a new one

I have tried both, when I sprayed it the noise got worse and have have tightened it too, doesnt squeal as much but it still does
