its an unused nipple. I just wrapped mine in enough good electrical tape to seal it. I didnt have the stuff to weld aluminum.

the left over hose attaches to the nipple that you didn't use. I just installed my weapon-r today, but i had to extend the extra hose
also, did you drill a hole and put the air sensor in? you will possibly need that installed to pass inspection

good job smile.gif should a got a CAI IMO smile.gif but still looks good. And the nipple thing, is on mine as well, but mine also came with a little rubber cap, i just put on it. You should also drill out the hole for your intake temp sensor.

I had a pic of my intake sensor, but i cant find it.
You can see in this pic, the nipple on mine, and the little black cover i put in it, I assume that electrical tape will work just the same smile.gif GL

you could also do what i did to mine and add hose to the end of that filter, looks like a spectra filter like mine, anyways take and run it through the old air box hole and down into the front fender, it will pick up some more cold air.

Go to Pep Boys or Auto Zone and they have little rubber caps that you can cover that nipple with. Why not spend an extra 2-3 bucks so you're not ghetto rigged?
