I'm hearing a knocking/grinding sound coming from my top timing cover. I'm assuming its my water pump, It's much easier to locate a St202 or St185 or even a MR2 turbo water pump, but the st185 has the rev 2 engine and the mr2's thats available, and the st202 has the 3s engine but its none turbo,
has anyone tried fitting a pump from any of these to the rev3 engine (st205) please help ![]() -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 Turbo 4WD, Black

the pump itself is the same, the housing is different, so buy a ST185 pump without housing and swap the housing from your ST205 old setup, that's what I did

I thought it was all in one piece. Do you have any photos of the process? Is it easy to swap? -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 Turbo 4WD, Black

it's easy, I don't have pictures but no, it's not one piece, the pump shoud come with a gasket that you'll need, but is easy, unbolt the pump from the housing, replace the gasket and bolt the new pump, done.
