I was able to get the flash patterns of my "ABS" light thanks to "Spider77". I got the patterns but I need to know what the flash patterns represent. I called "Toyota" here where I live. They told me that "The only way they can get the code is only by plugging to the Diagnostic box under the hood" & it would cost me $120 for them just to grab the codes. I also tried "Celicatech" but the pdf files for the Celica like mine don't work. Only the 3S-GTE & AWD book they have there works.
If anyone can help me identify the code that would be great. I want to have the ABS light gone and my ABS system re-enabled if that's even possible. I know ABS work especially done by "Toyota" themselves would probably be in the 4-Digit range. Here are the flash patterns for the ABS F= single flash p= pause ------------------------------------ FFF p F FFF p FF FFF p FFFFF FFF p FFFFFF FFF p FFFFFFF ^^^ Is my whole ABS system F**Ked? cause thats five codes... Also is it normal that my airbag & cruise control light blinks at the same time constantly? Thanks to anymore who helps me out. This post has been edited by Tech-Nics: Aug 10, 2010 - 2:22 PM |

Code 31
Malfunction of right front wheel speed sensor signal. Check speed sensor, sensor rotor, wiring harness and connector. See SPEED SENSOR DIAGNOSTICS under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. See FRONT SPEED SENSORS under COMPONENT TESTING. Code 32 Malfunction of left front wheel speed sensor signal. Check speed sensor, sensor rotor, wiring harness and connector. See SPEED SENSOR DIAGNOSTICS under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. See FRONT SPEED SENSORS under COMPONENT TESTING. Code 35 Open in left front or right rear wheel speed sensor circuit. Check speed sensor, sensor rotor, wiring harness and connector. See SPEED SENSOR DIAGNOSTICS under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. See appropriate speed sensor testing under COMPONENT TESTING. Code 36 Open in right front or left rear wheel speed sensor circuit. Check speed sensor, sensor rotor, wiring harness and connector. See SPEED SENSOR DIAGNOSTICS under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. See appropriate speed sensor testing under COMPONENT TESTING. Code 37 Rear speed sensor rotor malfunction. Check rear sensor rotors. From what I was reading about the airbag and cruise, if it flashes constantly then its good....sounds weird but thats what I read. AS far as your ABS codes, that really is a lot...your going to need a wiring diagram (pre a schematic) to locate the common point. To me, an open would indicate a malfunction....But without a schematic, its really hard to tell what is tied into what....All I have is the wiring diagram, which looks like the ABS ECU. But.... Front Speed Sensors 1) Remove front fender lining. Disconnect speed sensor connector. Measure resistance between speed sensor terminals. Resistance should be 600-1800 ohms. 2) Measure resistance between each sensor terminal and sensor body. Resistance should be one megohm or more. If resistance is not as specified, replace speed sensor. Rear Speed Sensors 1) Remove rear seat cushion. Disconnect speed sensor connector. Measure resistance between speed sensor terminals. Resistance should be 800-2100 ohms. 2) Measure resistance between each sensor terminal and sensor body. Resistance should be one megohm or more. If resistance is not as specified, replace speed sensor. Sensor Rotors Visually inspect sensor rotor serrations for scratches, cracks, missing teeth, or warping. Replace front drive shaft or rear hub as necessary if rotor is damaged. Thats what I got from CelicaTech....Check the connections first and make sure they are connected....but again, there are a large number of codes listed. |
