i don't think resin would be a good choice. wouldn't it be more prone to fracture if it were to skid against the pavement? i think it should stay aluminum. that way if it bottoms out, it'll just make a dent.

If those are fiber glass, it would fracture for sure... but at the moment I dunno what the exact name of that material... might not be exactly resin, but must contain some sort of plastic inside. And if not much interest, I will simply pass. Then its not the matter of choosing what kinda material. -------------------- |

Depending on the price I would also be very interested. I will be driving my Celica in the snow so it would definitely be good to have this protection.

I would be interested, but i agree with azian, most of the ppl that will be able to afford this are already somewhat modified i would think, meaning they would be lowered=a lot of abuse on this thing.
What about the oil drain plug?I see a small hole in it,but the oil isnt gonna shoot through that the entire drain time... |

how much are you looking at as a price? also if you are making them out of aluminum, what thickness are you gonna use? i'm looking for a skid plate, but i don't want to spend an ass load on one since i'll be beating the hell out of it with rallying the car. i made one that worked for a while, but got tore up pretty good from the 2009 rallyx season. if this is reasonably priced, i may go for it.
