Words do not explain. Pictures do. Here is the pic.
![]() So pretty soon it looks like I'm gonna be doing some work here. I'm thinkin this is my excuse to paint 'er a color that's... well... cool. Cause I'll be sanding that side (obviously) and at least 80% of the rest of it to fix other things. Sooo this'll be fun. Anyway, I'll probably be on here scouring for parts due to this. But but my parts search won't be limited to what you see. |

that looks like it'll mostly pop out. and in a pretty easy place to reach from the back.. carefully beat it out and it sould take minimal bondo to make look good. the ONLY thing that would worry me is the factory crease on the loswer part of the body... thats a bicth to rebuld w/ bondo
still REALLY sucks ![]() -------------------- QUOTE "And, as always, your friendship, help, and dedication to the advancement of Texas Celica dominance is GREATLY appreciated. Yeah, I figure most of it will pop out. I'll just make sure and take my time with the factory crease. I'm hoping I don't have to cut and hang a new panel piece (And weld it in and pray to the almighty that it doesn't rust). But like I said. Perfect excuse to paint 'er a nice color.

ow. right there with ya man, that must get on your nerves every time you look at it. But hey it coulda been worse, imagine if they crunched in your wheel instead!
As for how to go about fixing things, you don't have cut and weld in a new panel. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Not only is it labor intensive, but you also run the risk of having it rust. Not to mention welding itself distorts the metals a bit. So do the easiest thing and just tack on some prongs to pull that dent out. Right, exactly. I'm going to try and avoid doing surgery on it if at all possible. And up close it looks like I really won't need to. Plan is to strip the paint down, pop it out where I can, make holes ONLY where I need to. Mix up a little bondo, primer, and go. I just hope the insurance company (the other guys) splits out enough cash to get the gear I need to do it. I should be finding out about that tomorrow.
