the bolts for the GT mount are very secure...that is exactly how i did mine and it works great

SO tweak, what is the going rate you are charging these days for a swap?

lets say they provide the engine and all the parts, what are you charging for the install and wireing?

Ha yes, secure is an understatement, they are likely stronger than the factory GT setup. They go completely through the frame and are secured on each end by nuts with washers and lock-washers.

I'll let you know when I find out for sure, I'm trying to charge more accurately for swaps. I used to charge a flat right but it was just waaaay too low and didn't begin to represent the actual hours put into the project.

Nice post. Finally found a forum with alot of pictures. Im interested in the wiring involved. I know you have to have the 3sgte ecu, im guessing the motor came with that and the uncut harness? And please let us know a quote. I only live 8 hours away and i might have some work for you.

celica74, that wiring job is normally $540, right now we have a special going on for $450, it is good until the end of the year.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

E153 axles:

Koyo radiator install

Dr Tweak cold air intake

Walbro fuel pump

On the ST you lose the cooling lines for the power steering, so we went ahead and installed a dedicated cooler for it.

Intercooler and piping ready to go

The p/s cooler? That was added in because the cooling lines got eliminated in the GT mount swap. In reality it's waay overkill for power steering, but it was the smallest one that they had.

We used an E153 transmission, to make the axles work you need to use the MR2 inners and ST165 outters.
