Here some picture of my last mod.
I totally removed the key to make the car start with a switch and a button. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjjtaoLIz5g In this short video there is how it work and some note to explain what is and how it's made. The hole is still to cover, i have to find something that fits good. For any question write here or PM me. Probably soon I'll do a little kit with everything to install it you own, with a little manual too...PM me if interested... |

I'd definitely be interested if the engine start button wasn't situated where the cigarette lighter used to be. I sometimes use that to charge my phone.

The button can be situated where you want, that's the easiest thing... this would make it much cleaner thanks for posting it, i used the one i already had and wanting to change it as soon as possible 'cause i dont like how it look...but when the wiring is done change it is really easy...everything is plug with fast-on... |

I have wanted to do this for a while, but if someone get's into your car, all they have to do is hit the switch and the button to steal it?

That's actually pretty cool. How hard was it to do?
Also, I tend to agree with jcbass7 that it makes your car easy to steal. On the other hand if you conceal the accessory on/off switch it might not be too bad. I would be definitely interested in "how-to" article. This post has been edited by conus00: Sep 14, 2010 - 8:22 AM -------------------- '94 ST

I think if I did this I would have a second fuel pump kill switch hidden somewhere. Maybe even some more random cut off switches. Activating more of them depending on where I park. Who knows. Whats that TRD button go for? expensive I'm guessing.. |

This kit make harder to steal the car...hidding the main switch will be the first step, then it's easy to put "somewhere" for from the steering wheel a wire with a fast-on to by-pass the main switch...i did it on mine, and it's really hard to understand how to start the car...
To put everything on and make the sistem to work i took 3-4 hours, mainly to understand what the wires were for... Anyways, more info will be posted soon |

The kit is almost done, it will cost beetween 80 and 60€, it's semi-plug'n'play.
With the product will come 3 relais (no cheap ones, probably bosh ones), wiring already done, the start button and the switch. The only thing you have to do is unplug the fast-on from the OEM key cylinder and connect it to fast-on on cables to relais. There will be instruction with the package. |

i got a viper alarm system installed into my car, so i can 'remote' keyless start. its the most awesome alarm. i can be inside my house, turn my car on and have the heater settings on, walk out to my car, unlock it, hop in to a nice cosy car. its also awesome to trick ppl when they see the car turn on and no one is in it
