Hi guys,
I found a Tein distributor here in my country. They told me I could put a Super Street Tein Suspesion kit (coilover type). What do you guys think about this? mi goal is to drop my celica like 1.5 inches. Plus, it migth be the chance to update the whole suspension because is old. |

From what I've heard, Tien makes great suspension components. So if you're willing to fork over the money, go for it!

Check if Super Street coilovers aren't exclusively made for SuperStrut Suspension.

check out the Tein/Coilover discussion thread to learn more about what settings people are running.
Im running them and they're pretty good, plus if anything goes wrong, they can be rebuilt. bonus This post has been edited by Rusty: Aug 8, 2010 - 1:47 AM -------------------- |

what is the point of the upper camber plates?? i know you can adjust the camber on the front wheels by hand for better cornering if your doing autocross or on the track. and with added camber to the front wheels you will be sacrificing tread wear pattern...
But what is the difference between TRD Suspension Mounts vs KYB Suspension Mounts vs Cusco or C-One upper pillowball mounts. the cusco and c-one are made of full metal as to where the KYB are not and the TRD ones are a bit strong than kyb (OEM Replacement) -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

But what is the difference between TRD Suspension Mounts vs KYB Suspension Mounts vs Cusco or C-One upper pillowball mounts. the cusco and c-one are made of full metal as to where the KYB are not and the TRD ones are a bit strong than kyb (OEM Replacement) adjustable top mounts are just an easy way to adjust the camber, not really the best way, but an easy way. The reason you you would choose a pillowball top mount like the cusco over a reinforced rubber top mount such as the trd is that there will be virtually zero movement in the pillowball mount, so you have better feedback and the suspension geometry works more accuratly, the reinforced rubber are just a version of the original top mounts with less possible movement in them, you might choose them over the pillowball mounts because they will last a lot longer, and pillowball mounts can sometimes be noisy and trasmit more vibrations etc into the chassis. I'll stick to the TRD strut mounts since I will be doing mostly daily driving, and then upgrade later on to cusco top mounts if I decide to track it, is there such thing as solid steel mounts that go in the front like the same ones that come in the rear...
is there two types of TRD strut mounts, like one for the super strut and the other for the McPherson or are they both the same?? it says here on greenline.com that they are two different ones. the rears, and then the front for super strut models only. the fronts will also fit tein coilovers as well right? my reason for asking is i saw this link here and I'm confused : http://www.greenline.jp/catalogue/bccatpar...gory=suspension This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Sep 7, 2010 - 11:07 PM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

What suspension are you running or going to be running?? i would think the trd mounts would only fit factory shocks or the TRD suspension kit -------------------- |

Why do you want so many?
Why not just buy the Tein super street coilover kit with the upper mounts? you'd save money and time for install? -------------------- |

Why do you want so many? Why not just buy the Tein super street coilover kit with the upper mounts? you'd save money and time for install? no I only want one set of coilovers, I was saying a group buy for members here on 6gc. since the group buy for the megan coilovers has been a flake for some people we should start a tein group buy so we can get a discount on those. it was just an idea This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Sep 9, 2010 - 10:47 PM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

Why do you want so many? Why not just buy the Tein super street coilover kit with the upper mounts? you'd save money and time for install? true that i would be saving money, but how are the roads over there for you, I was told the steel upper mounts made by tein or any other company such as megan transfer a lot of noise into the engine bay and into the inside of the car. did you notice any noise difference for you?? I think I remember reading that you should change your stock suspension strut mounts every 50,000 miles. how long do upper pillow mounts last for, longer than oem/kyb mounts?? what!!! Fensport doesnt ship to the USA???!! i checked their website for shipping costs for the trd strut mounts and I wasnt able to find USA on the list??? I actually have the money for coilovers right now. If you can get a group buy for Teins I'd put in. If not im probably going for the BC's well i spoke to horsepowerfreaks.com and he said that if I could get a decent amount of buyers he wouldnt have a problem giving us a discount. the teins from that site do not come with upper pillow mounts, but I did ask him how much more they would cost to add to the coilovers, he should get back to me in a few days. some members over at the megan coilover group buy have dropped out due to such long wait for back order coilovers we should talk to them.... -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts
