Only difference with the RC is that it has a air and WATER intercooler, like the ST205, which is more efficient. I bought only the engine, but it came with the ECU and AFM. I would have to look at what that particular one would be including, but thats what mine did and the only other things i needed to buy were clutch components, which your going to need regardless.

Get the swap because if you turbo the 7A-FE you will have to rebuild your motor top to bottom with stronger parts unless you want to throw a rod.

the harness, and maybe some of the accessories. You see, it's just an engine, you will need lots of little things to make it work. Thankfully, you will be able to get them at your local toyota dealer if you need.

RC is just saying it came out of a rally edition celica... plus, it has a water to air intercooler instead of a top mount air to air.

Jon

(have you guys ever wondered why I could buy a fastburn 350 with 400 hp brand new for about three grand, yet a used 3s is the same price?

the answer to the original question depends on what your goals are with the car, how much downtime you can afford, and which car you have and what tranny it comes with.

its easier to swap with a 5spd gt than with an auto st

and if you want more than 250hp it would be cheaper to go with a swap.

well i can't really afford any down time but i can make things happen. I have a 5-speed ST and I want like 300hp when it's all said and done.

having a 5spd st only makes it a little easier than an auto st, just fyi.

you will need another tranny.

with an auto st, a tranny swap must be done along with the swap.

Sounds very similar to my response in this thread...

why for sale???

a line broke and i lost oil.. than she spun a bearing... its ashame. it ran soo good. so im selling to move on to something else. if i can find another 200dollar motor i would just put it back in but im done with the a family. unless i get a corolla or another ST.
