After last night's snowfall, I got to drive my celica in snow for the first time... and there is no doubt bout it i need to get a set of snow tires asap! I would like to know how small a wheel i can drop to with space for the brake rotors and all that stuff to still fit. My car is a 95 gt coupe- and to keep my stock wheel size im looking at spending 450$ bucks... So will 14 in. steel wheels fit? and how narrow can i go, since snow tires berform better when they are narrower than what stock is? any help would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks

This should prob get moved but anywho...

I have 15 steelies and there is almost no room for the rotors, doubt you could go down to 14s. I did go with 195 width in a 60 series (as opposed to 205 and 55)and they are great in the pow pow.

good luck

I looked into this after getting my car, you can go smaller width wise with steelies, but only by 1/2 an inch, so its not really worth it IMO. This was the information that I was given when attempting to do this
