This is my 1998 celica, it first started out as my first car and it grew into something alot more. At first like any 19yr old teenagers dream was it make it look nice and sound nice. Which i have accomplished, and also taken great care of it too. Three years down the track after achieving a great understanding of how cars work and in each performance and handling aspect. I hope to achieve to keep it cosmetically the way it is but a handling/track oriented car. And be able to get into some track days and motorkhana starting next year. Rico. TRDGT4 Started out as a fresh Import from Japan, But once in my hands (second owner) work begun........... What you see before you is a creation of many hours of reseach and a love of all things performance related!!! The final product is a GT-Four boasting 250kw atws on 20psi with a redline of 8,000rpm The engine sports such products as Eagle Rods, Wisco pistons, Custom Cams, Haltech E8 ECU, Greddy oil relocation kit and a lot of TRD parts too (hence the Plate) Things like the exhaust manifold and intercooler piping are also custom made not to mention the catch cans!! I use my GT-Four nearly everyday and atend such events as Trackdays, Drags and have even entered the odd Sohw and Shine. Ohter points to add is that this GTfour has also featured in New Zealand Performance Car Magazine and AA Magazine. The GT-four currently also has a C-One Front Lip and a WRC Bonnet Spoiler but unfortunatly I don't have any photo's at this time. Furture Plans: well I strongly believe that a project is never really finished so I would like to get a new set of rims and maybe look into getting it to 300kw atws!!! So stay tuned because you never know whats around that next bend!!!! This post has been edited by TRDGT4: Sep 18, 2010 - 10:02 PM -------------------- _______________May COTM 2011_______________ |

My '94 ST, And her shortened story Bought the car with my own money at 15, almost 16. Car was "deemed totaled" by previous owners insurance. Got the windshield fixed and a few body parts, but she didnt move... for many reasons. Joined auto. vo-tech in high school and brought her in for like half the year as my project (I was really far ahead) Got her up and running.. and stopping lol. Continued working on the car non-stop, up until now at 18, and have done absolutely everything myself, (with an exception of a little help, installing the new 7A) And the help of everyone on the forums of course. Love working on the celi, and trying new "bold" things. ▼Heres a Picture of Now▼ I dont have an expensive camera, or photography experience to bring out the true beauty, but I tried As you can see I've done alot of work, and as it may not be the cup of tea of some, its what I've always wanted. And I feel like you should never go in the direction someone tells you, but the way YOU want. Future Plans- (never ending) ►Coilovers 2"+ drop ►As being my DD I love the 7A and getting 33mpg+. And I am only 18 putting my self through college lol, so money is bit tight! But after CSP I am determined to swap by end of next summer 3SGTE here i come But I have been doing alot of research. And seeing the success stories in person, are really inspiring ►Hiro Spoiler on its way thanks to a member smile.gif ►If the 3s swap doesnt pull through, I plan to continue custom bodywork Looking into different rear bumpers, but i love the invader front so im keeping that without a doubt! ►Also looking for projectors ►There is always tons of ideas floating through my head, just need the time, and inspiration to envision it ▼Things you can't see▼ A Very Quick Overview▼ ►Have spent alot of time with wiring, lighting, painting, and customizing. ►Have torn out the whole interior and painted. ►Custom red head lights, Custom Fogs, LED Interior (vents, handles, floor, seat, door, E-brake, dome, ect), 7 Color Underglow ►Have a 250 Amp Mechman Alternator, 2 batteries (Kinetik) all 1/0 Gauge wiring where it can be. 4000 Watt amp two 15's, and my custom spec. built box. 7" flip touch screen. Rear seats removed and just built in fiberglass "holder" for amp, crossovers, control box, ect. Hope to get Your votes And Good Luck to everyone This post has been edited by mgnt232: Sep 4, 2010 - 9:54 PM -------------------- |

What the hell i'll give this a try.
Just finished the 2nd gen 3s-gte swap in july, runs and drives like a champ. Black front mount intercooler, 2.5" intercooler piping, 3" turbo back exhaust. Lowered on eibach sportlines and suspension technique sway bars. I might plan to either rebuilt the engine with forged internals so i can boost more, or gt4 front end conver. -------------------- 2nd Gen 3s-gte.... It lives!

My 96' SSIII replica Bought it about a year ago planning for only small mods such as rims and a system..... then found this site caught a bad case of the mod bug and this is the result Full SSIII kit on her D2 fully adjustable race coilovers with a 2 inch drop Short ram intake Shorty header 5th gen mirrors 7th gen GTS rims 7th gen short shifter TRD knob Plans for now is the kit is coming off this winter to be painted again and better match the color, its a little off, just plan to DD her for a the next few years as long as the 7a stays faithful, 3sgte is always on my mind but schools first, unless the 7a fails me then its 3sgte all the way im pretty happy with where the car is at now so small things may change but this is essentially it -------------------- 1996 Toyota Celica Project Mean Green

Honestly, what kind of chances do I have compared to first 2 competitors... It is ridiculous! But like greendemon says, school's first. I also agree about not caring that much about upgrading the car before finding 6gc! What a bug this site created for me!
