hey peeps. i am looking into buying a set of jdm tail lights for my 96 celi. and i noticed that some have amber in the clear bit on the outter side of the light. are they different designs or is it that people have just personally taken out that amber bit. coz i know if i get jdm lights i would much rather it without that amber bit.
thanks, dz

Hiya,

Here's an old thread from the U.K which explains.....

http://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.p...showtopic=19374

I'm sure there's other links on here, but this one I keep in my 'Favourites' as reference

I've done this mod, unfortunatly you have to chop up your JDM tail's to do it, but as long as you do it carefully and follow the instructions in that thread Wolfie posted, you'll be fine. (its the same one I followed).

One thing to note however; make sure you cut enough of the plastic out to allow space to remove the orange peice... I didn't on one side and ended up wrestling with the amber piece for about 20 minutes before I got it to come out with no damage to the housing... lol.

Here's how they look today; I removed the tint...
