I still haven't seen the 4th one! Haha. I'm glad they came out of the ricer-ish vibe.... well. Kind of. Haha

Tokyo Drift is the best one IMO by far.

This is starting to be reminiscent of the "Land Before Time" films, because they just keep cranking them out... There's a certain point when you just need to stop. They reached that point 3 movies ago.

Hector, no offense, but I'm going to have to disagree with you on "Tokyo Drift" being the best. Don't get me wrong- I love drifting. It's my favorite motorsport by far. I intend to build a drift car one of these days. But "Tokyo Drift" was done poorly. The general mindset behind that movie was "Hey, let's put a crooked-toothed redneck in the middle of Tokyo!"

All criticisms of this move aside, I'll probably be there to see it when it comes out.

I thought Tokyo Drift was alright, but I agree with you that the mindset wasn't the greatest. When I first saw it, I thought it was going to be a bunch of redneck racing in the US, but then he got sent to Tokyo and I was like WTF? lol I love drifting and what not, but the movie IMO was poorly setup and the animation graphics in some of the drift scenes weren't great at all kindasad.gif
I'm hoping they have a nice comeback in this movie with the stuff they lacked on in Tokyo Drift.

After the 2nd one, I gave up on judging them based on quality, I resorted to cars and action. I love drifting and I loved most of the cars on Tokyo Drift. So that's why biggrin.gif

1st one is the best and will remain the best. Atleast they some what kept a story line with those two. Now if would of had the same actors and some of the same story lines all the rest would have been just as good.

If anyone is curious that movie is being shot in Atlanta with some kind of cuban/miami vibe to it. A couple of guys on my local racing forum there cars are actually in it. A Porche 911 GT3, NSX, 69ish Charger and a few others. Most of the guys on my local forum are from here and living over there, or stationed there.

Heres the thread: http://www.318racing.org/forums/viewtopic....st+Five#p108237

Lots of cars. That thread is about 2 months old. I dont see any rice in there really. Theres some more pics of some HellaFlush rides that are in there in a different thread just have to find them.

the next F&F movie needs a GT-R, LF-A, and throw in some subies and maybe it'll be worth my time to go watch it before it hits bluray.

I think a thing to keep in mind is relationship between fast and the furious franchise and what is happening in automotive world.

The first film introduced us to a boy dream car line up that could "hypothetically" be affordable to anyone who is not a millionaire.

Second movie brushed up on teeneager boy dream car line up that is "more" affordable to anyone under age of 25. Movie, of course also featured music indrustry.

Third movie brushed up on what is happening in usa-development of drifting.

Fourth movie came about after franchise fans have been begging the industry to bring back original crew line up.

Fifth one? I wont reveal the plot but how many times can they be running away from authorities?!

What made the franchise special from the get-go is that they showed boy dreamers how cool their dream cars were by making a 1.5 hour long commercial for them. As they move farther and farther from THAT... I think they are getting closer to becoming yet another movie that never ends.... (like ohh I dont know planet of the apes movies 1-323232323)

I like these movies, no one is making car movies anymore. I doesnt make any sense to me, ppl that are into cars usually have WAY to much free time, and have a few extra bucks sitting around to go and see a p0rn about cars, why havent film makers jumped on this bandwagon?

I think they should have the GT4 in at least one of the movies.
I love these movies as well and it's sad to see that no one is making them cause a lot of people are still into the trend/ scene.
