if you are thinking irridium, don't do it. I have heard it can cause engine trouble in the worst way.

you wouldn't really notice it unless your spark plugs were completely fried, your boots were worn like a catchers mit and they sparked like when you touch someone and you have a lot of static electricity in you. Other than that you are gonna have to get new plug wires, and distrubitor and possibly ignition.

I just recently switched from platinums to iridium and got new wires while I was at it. I noticed a difference in throttle response, and smoothness both at idle and WOT. It could be psychological, but I think it was a good investment nonetheless.

After you ride with those plugs for several months, take one out and look at your piston. if the plug's starting to wear a hole in it, let me know. thumbsdown.gif

yea g dog is right. Wires and plugs will give you a little noticeable throttle response. Plugs alone won't do the trick.

It would. Maybe by 1-2hp, but you will notice a smoother engine around high rpm's.

All of this depends on tuning and driving style.

I installed NGK iridium plugs on my car. I don't notice much gain in hp. However it seem to improve fuel efficiency a little bit. The rpm at neutral is also lower than before, it is at 800 now. My old plugs were in really bad shape. so I need to replace them anyways. These plugs will last a long time, probably till the rest of my car's life. They are worth the money.
