QUOTE (EC_Knightrider @ Jan 6, 2004 - 9:01 PM)
that could make some people not show up who otherwise would if it being a celica meet.......

I was being sarcastic. I plan on talking to some local 2nd-5th gens and trying to get a more diverse crowd once we set a date.

that still may be the car i want to bring, but i don't know yet

Eric, You are required to bring the alltrac. The reason why is that is is rare and cool. Besides we need the rep from the other gens also.

I'm very interested. It'd be about a 14 hour drive, but I think I can make it worthwhile if..

We make some kind of flyer (generic black and white) that advertises the meet, what we're doing, things you should bring.. basically just an informative brochure, but on one page. There's two-three other 6gen's at my school, and a few (about 4) more that I've tracked down in local cities. Also a few 5gen's I see every now and then (one on my street), and 2-3 more 7gen's at my school. So I'm thinking that if we made a really simple flyer (after getting some good dates setup, etc), I can run some copies of it on different colored paper and stuff, and put them on the other Celica's I see windshield, try and bring them up there with me. The more the merrier I suppose, and that would encourage other people going to do a similar thing and invite their friends with Celicas as well.

Sounds good to me, and the sooner the better for most people (especially, well, if we're going to be coming from a long ways away).

And, this is open to other generation Celicas right? (don't want people to get mad at me for bringing 5th/7th gen's..)

Some people just need to learn: http://maps.yahoo.com has the solution to all of your problems.

You're 5hrs from me, and 14hrs 41min from Pigeon Forge.

I'm gonna try to get out some flyers here, too...

only prob is most celi's around here are beat to hell daily drivers, not many look like an owner that would care.

in my opinion the bristol nopi show does have its advantages, being a drag race competition, but i wouldn't have the meet the same weekend as the drags

Eric, you bring up a good point about it. Also the rates on cabins in July is more expensive than in June. So lets plan it for the weekend of the 26th 27th of June.
