I like the wheels, but you sincerely need a drop!
![]() Was it hard to fit 235's in the rear and 215's in the front? I'm planning to get 225's front and 245/255's in the rear so.. ![]() Guess you rolled you fenders and use spacers? This post has been edited by dudeofchaos: Nov 14, 2010 - 2:14 PM |

looks super good, glad to know that this setup works since i am planning on eventually doing 17x9 +30 rear and 17x8 +35 front.
rear looks super flush, front needs 10 mm spacer (+25 offset) |

I like the wheels alot!
I've just bought a set of similar ones for my car too and I was wondering how will they look with the proper tires... The old 18" wheels were too unconfortable because they required 215/35/R18 tires, the car is pretty heavy and the romanian roads are severely damaged. The only problem is that I will probably need wheel spacers on the front, since they are all 8,5 or 9 inch wide, but the front has a smaller ET and will probably hit the strut (haven't tried the front yet). How does the car handle with the new wheels, compared to the original 15" ones? Is acceleration better or worse? Are the new rims, together with the tires, heavier than the original steel ones? I'm going to buy 215/40/R17 tires for all the wheels, I user another tire size calculator and that is the best tire size for no speedometer differences (must check if the tires will fit the rim width) Hope you don't mind if I add a couple of pictures with my "new" wheels: ![]() ![]() ![]() -------------------- ![]() |

Which one you going to use 8.5 or 9 width
ET size are important here, what is the ET size of your wheels ? If use ET 33 or 35, width 8.5" (215/40/17) nice combination. You do not need to speacer I would like to see the final version -------------------- Celica from TURKIYE

All the wheels have the same J (width), which is exactly 22,5 cm, which is approximately 9 inches, measured from the outside of the wheels.
Nothing is written on my wheels, no J, no ET, so I don't know very much about them ![]() There is no problem with the back wheels, but I didn't try the front ones yet. Anyway, I'll figure out a solution for the wheels, but probably in 2-3 months, when I'll buy the summer tires. After that, I will add one more picture here, if you don't mind ![]() -------------------- ![]() |
