Anyone Please! help, how do I pullout the cylinder lock housing I'm determined to get it done and I might just mess up a perfectly good steering column at the parts yard just to get one out Please Help!!

Here's the process:
You have to pull off the plastic piece that is on top of the steering wheel and in front of the ignition column.
Then, you have to put the key in the ignition and turn it to the On position, NOT start.
Get a small screw driver and find the hole on the top part of the ignition column near the front.
Put the screw driver in there, press down, and put the key toward you and the inner part of the column should just slide right out.
Hope this helps!

The new one should just slide right in there as well, make sure you have the key on the On position before putting it in!


or are you talking about the housing that is around that piece?

yes the insertion where the lock cylinder goes into, that whole mount/ holder whatever its called I don't know how to remove it so that i can install one to mine, I might just have to remove the steering wheel to get a better look, but i do appreciate the help so far

you might be better off getting a whole new steering column, i'll check the one i have out tomorrow to help you out a little
