Looks like a fluxcore mig
Just some tips for ya -
Keep your metals clean, clean gounds, and dont let the pool cool to where it stops glowing

youll be fine just practice. if you weld something and you can beat it with a hammer and the WELD doesnt break your good.

You have a lot of splatter, it won't hold due to too many weak joints. Make sure you sand or grind a little bit of the materials before you start joining them.
EZ and slow usually does the job, then grind off the splatter balls, you will see what you missed.

Its heap of fun, anybody can do this!

Its worth the money. I mean it aint no lincoln or miller but it'll get the job done. only if I had 220 outlet in the garage I would pick up the gas welder from HF.

I have a miller 110 mig welder and it was perfect for when i finished off my downpipe and work bench supports.

Can you attach a gas tank with regulators to your welder? If so, you should get a 75%/25% CO2/Argon mix tank and some copper coated wire and you won't have as much spatter. The flux-core stuff is horrible when it comes to spatter sticking to the metal. biggrin.gif
A wire brush comes in handy as well.

I love welding! My dad has a 220 volt miller welder with Argon, and I have been using that for the past few months. If you haven't picked up a grinder yet DO it! I am hoping to take a Tig class next semester since I am done with my auto classes. Does anybody here have Tig experience?

Why yes I do. its WAY easier than it looks, especially steel. Aluminum is difficult but not bad, of course take this with a grain of salt from someone who thinks 6010 keyhole vertical up butt joints are 'fun' and as someone who can actually oxy-acetly weld.
