What kind of noise and where is it coming from? By slowing down, do you mean coasting or applying brakes?

Being that none of us are there, with you, I think you'll have to do a better job explaining this noise. Ie, what does it sound like, where does it sound like its coming from (please dont just say "front", thats kinda general), etc....Im sure you get it, need a lot of info to determine what a sound is when we cant hear it...

I would suggest you jack the front up and take a peek. There's no way anyone will be able to help unless you can pinpoint where the noise is coming from.
If you can just answer a few questions and given enough info maybe someone on here can help you out. What side is it on? Driver's? or Passenger's? Does it happen ALL the time when you coast? or does it Pulsate?(happen at a certain time when the tire spins) Have you replaced your brake pads, rotors or calipers at all? Does you car slow down more than normal when coasting? A few things i would suggest looking at while you have it apart.

Yeah I would think either one of the rotors are warped, a brake pad is sticking, or it's a bad wheel bearing.

From what I asked around "some of my friends" they all say its my wheel bearing. How much will it cost me to get this fixed?

$30~$50 for wheel bearing. $75 - $225 for labor IF you bring them the hub. I don't know the rates in your area so just call a local shop you trust and ask.
You can save a bit by DIY but unless you have the tools and know how to press the old bearing out and the new bearing in, i wouldn't suggest it. Good luck! |

Well, not that it takes a genius to press bearings, but if you never have done it before find someone that has access to the gear and learn. Its really not as hard as it may seem.

If its a wheel bearing you can still drive on it, yea it will be annoying but its not something thats going to kill your car...check the simple stuff like the brakes first
