no.
there are no OBDII compliant 3sgte ecu's, so the OBDII plug will not work. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Like Manny said there is no 3sgte ecu that'll work with the obdII diagnostic plug near the kick panel on the driverside. What year is ur celica?

Is it really that strict in wa with emissions?

Pretty much. All cars made after 96 are obdll and they just plug into the port and scan for codes and it also checks to make sure all emissions sensors and componets are working properly.

if you have some friends that know some friends that work at an inspection place, become friends with them so you can just ease past inspection haha
or try paying a guy a little extra |

That's how it is here in NC which is why I've given up doing a swap on my 99. If you're really wanting to do a 5SGTE try getting '94/95 shell cheap and then sourcing the parts to build the engine and drop it in. Good luck either way. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

if you want to turbo the car, just boost the 5S-FE. it might fail the visual but it should still pass emissions
