So my car idles rough at 800RPMS, but goes away @1000RPMS. It's even worse when in drive. If I'm at a stop light it vibrates hard, but as soon as she get's a little gas it stops. I'm waiting till about 200 miles before my oil change to do the seafoam treatment in hope that it helps. But if that's not the solution I'm wondering what is? I also have replace the ignition coil because I believe I saw somewhere on here that it worked for someone, but no avail.
Also while I'm hovering around the engine(in the video) I'm curious to know if any of those noises are normal for an older engine, or if it's something that needs to be fixed. This is my work car so I need it to... work. The belts are bad so try not to focus on their noise. Hopefully one of you can help me out. Thanks. http://www.vimeo.com/17483622 NOTE: When I place the camera on the steering wheel, I was hoping you could visually see the vibration through the camera. But apparently it did not work. Sounds to me like you need a valve adjustment. My 7AFE sounded just like that, I got a valve adjustment, and it went away.
But that's not what's causing the vibration. I'd do what you're going to do about the seafoam, maybe reset your ECU. -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

Well I cleaned out the carburetor, or tried. There still seems to be some residue in there even after a lot of heavy spraying. I almost wonder if I have to cleaning it by hand when it's off then repeat the on process.

seafoam or i use a quart of atf,(automatic transmission fluid) you slowly dumped the entire qrt into the trotthle body shut off the car and let it sit for an hour or two so it can do its thing. it will clean the corosion in there its an oldschool trick my grandfather told me about. same as seafoam but more cleaning agents than seafoam.

Take the throttle body apart and clean the iacv off the car they get dirty easy and is one of the main issues with idle problems on toyotas.
