I completely removed the black stock sealant and re did it with a clear sylicone I found at autozone, worked perfectly on my pass side one, but since is clear I missed a spot on the driver side one and now it has a little condensation so I guess I'll be re doing that one.

the projectors have a grayish silicone type. nissan sells it in black. i have heard silicone is tougher to take apart.

the one I used you just need to heat it with a heat gun to pray it open, just like OEM, the only reason why I remove the oem glue, is because I needed to seal it with something anyways, and was afraid of not working properly is residue of the old one was still present, so I cleaned everything out and apply the clear one. maybe next time I'll use the hot silicone that comes with sticks with a heat feeder gun. that should work as well and it doesn't need as much heat to pray open.

I used clear silicone for mine as well. It's the same stuff as whats holding my fog lamps in place. I haven't installed the lights since I've sealed them so I can't give any feedback yet on how well basic silicone performs.

wd 40 removes it with a little elbow, used a heat gun to get all the chunks away and the remainder with wd
