So I've torn my engine down to the block now and I noticed that I can't get the timing belt cover off without taking the crank pulley off.
What do I need to get it off? cause I sure as hell can't get it off with my own power and weight! haha

What parts do I exactly need to swap out on the engine to go from OBDII to OBDI?

What needs to be changed on the engine to go from auto to manual?

Is there a thread that lists what all the torque settings are for the different bolts? (Ex. Head bolts, Valve Cover, Cam Shafts, etc?)

This is my first time tearing down an engine and then rebuilding it so if you guys could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it! biggrin.gif

If Hurley is getting you parts maybe she can hook you up with some torque specs from all data or mitchell on demand.

Go to Celicatech They should have online BGBs

as for the engine to be ready for Auto to Manual, You need to take off the automatic flywheel. Replace it with a manual flywheel and thats it. Install clutch then trans. Make sure you get the torque sequences right for the head bolts and cam cap bolts.

It shouldn't matter with the dizzy and ignitor. Just get a manual ECU, or do a little wiring.

Well I have a manual celica sitting in my driveway lol
but on the distributor, i noticed that there is an extra wire on the auto that go to the ignitor.
The manual doesn't have that extra wire..

I doubt that matters at all.

So I just need the bold question to be answered.
Does everything except for the block have to replaced?
If someone can make a list of what I can and can't use to go from OBDII to OBDI, I'd appreciate it.
