HAHAHA!!
i never removed the boost controller, D.

i wish i could say it happen while boosting, beating some crazy car or some awesome story.
unfortunately, its much less exciting.
i was pushing the car forward to jump it after i killed the battery, slipped in some snow, and was going down, hard, reached up to grab the pillar to stop my fall, but just ended up whacking it with my hand as i fell. lmao.
once i got it running, went to drive away, and noticed it.
must of just whacked it hard enough to knock the needle off.
laugh.gif

im thinking about getting one of those omori 45mm gauges and installing it in a custom pod on the steering column, and eliminating the pillar pod altogether.

You can pry that bezel up and stick the needle back on. I had to do that with mine before. It probably wont be 110% accurate, but then again no gauge is.

I really like my omori, but will it match your interior lighting? Mine matches the wrx cluster perfectly, but I think the 45mm ones are just a single color.

I say replace it with a 52mm omori and keep it where it is, unless you have another a-pillar to replace that one with.

well, i took the blue LED's out a while back for some 168's in the cluster, like art did, so the omori gauge is a brighter, bluer white, but thats an easy fix with a handfull of LED's.
im really just wanting to ditch the 3 gauge pillar pod now. i dont have the EGT or oil pressure gauges hooked up anymore, so they just sit there at this point.
im liking the idea of a nice small, clean gauge with a simple install, and no hose to run into the car.

I had prosports all electric, then decided to send them back and i picked up a set of DEFI with the controller. So far for the 2 weeks I've been using them there pretty accurate, there sexy looking, and there start up is awesome. There pretty pricey though i must say. Well worth though.

Knock, I assume.

The problem I have with the gauges with electric motors is that they're loud. My brother has the prosport premium gauges in his Forester, and I can hear the motors adjusting while driving down the road - and he has a catless turbo-back exhaust! I'm not sure how loud Defi gauges are, but if they're all like prosport... No thanks.
