id go for 225's more tread on the ground means better bite..
other things to look for would be front and rear poly sway bar bushings, i noticed a decrease in wheel spin and torque steer with them as well as st185 front endlinks and racingbeat miata rears. those have helped stiffen my coupe up and have given me better bite. -------------------- st205 powered ss3 coupe

Be careful with 225s you get tons of grip but you just move your s54 weak point.
I'm running 225/45/17 on the 1mz an have snapped both axles under a hard launch -------------------- 95 gt coupe, v6 swap weekend toy

The car is going to be designed for autox events so I think the 225's are my best bet, but for those occasional 1/4 mile days in the future I want to have a solid set up, but trust me...this time I will turn the boost waaaay down to save the axles. -------------------- |

What are your thoughs? My thoughts are that you just dropped a crazy amount of money on the car. Nice upgrades. And 225. -------------------- '97 ST \ Eibach \ KYB \ Kenwood \ Alpine \ Cusco \ OEM+ [sold 10/18]

Just a heads up. My old shocks/springs are KYB-GR2's and Tein S-Tech springs. These will be up for grabs once I get my D2's (next week some time).

I know it's not really Celica related, but it's freaking cool. My dad was so inspired by the 3" exhaust on my car that we made one for his 1990 Mazda B2600i, and man does it sound awesome.
Went with all stainless-catback exhaust with vibrant ultraquiet resonator, and magnaflow muffler, using our custom made flanges. -------------------- |

Lol...it sure is 3". We left the necessary restrictions to ensure that it would have adequate back pressure.
