a spacer that will just slide in and fill in that gap between the rotor and hub center right?

Yea a hub centric ring. Same thing you're referring to I believe.

hah just wanted to make sure we were one the same page. I have talked with people in the past who confused hub centric rings with hub centric spacers.

Those are actually XXR 530 if I'm not mistaken. The 527 don't have the mesh look.

Any body aware of which fittings on the throttle body and intake manifold that can acutally be unscrewed and replaced with AN lines??? It looks like most all of them are press fit.

Little fun for all you eagle eyes out there.

Can you spot the differences between the two pictures?

Strut bar is black, the bottom picture looks a bit neater. That's all I have time to spot for now.

The lightings a little different id say its a bit later in the day, maybe like, the suns starting to come down a bit and slightly less overcast, the ground looks a little drier now, possibly you moved the car forward a bit and someone has parked in the top right. Photos taken from about a 45o angle, a bit lower than the previous shot.

And the strut bar no longer has rust.

The demise of Bobby's transmission (e153) has led me to a new chapter. Bobby let me pick up the scrapped e153 from him, that has already been partially disassembled by a transmission shop. My goal is to repair the damage (looks like wrecked bearings), and to replace the factory differential with a Quaife unit. No pictures at the moment, but they will be coming soon as I make my progress on the complete tear down and rebuild of this e153 transmission.

Stay posted!

So i got started getting the transmission apart today, and was able to completely tear it down. Here are some picks. Looks like I've got my work cut out for me!

Now all I need to do is replace the torn up bearings, wash all the components, and make sure the oil pump isn't jammed with metal debris, and then hopefully the re-assembly will begin after close inspection of all of the components.

Dang man, can't believe I've just now seen this epic build thread. Awesome work dude! Hopefully I can make the next Raleigh meet. I am trying to get motivation to get my celica back on the road again. It's been sitting for quite some time frown.gif

The second picture from the top. If you look right below the last gear...that was once a bearing.

Well a few small updates on the way, but here is one that has pictures.
I had my windshield tinted because the tint strip that was on the car when I got it was beginning to peel.

Coming up next is a new primary radiator fan by SPAL, breather for my a/c idle up vsv, filter for my synapse bov, and a new adapter for my radiator hose for my coolant temp sensor.

I think the Before/After are reversed, Ben...

It looks really good. Very nice. Any updates on the transmission?
