OK. I have yet again come upon a time to get rims. I have yet again picked a set, and I have yet again second guessed myself!

SO, tell me what you like!!!! Also, should I get 16's or 17's? I live on bad alabama roads, and 16" tires are cheaper.

Here are the lincs (don't want to slow everything down)

FNO1RC's

pro-N1's (Ghost dog got me on these back in the day)

momo X-1's

axis 7

Give me your opinions on these, and any others you like!

Jon

I like the Momo's the most. I would also go with 17's.

Can't load the 2nd two, but I'd go with the FNO1RC's from the looks of those two. Go with 16's.

I love the Black Racing Pro-N1's but I don't think wheelmax can get them in our size. Its been a while but I believe when I asked them about it they gave me some shpeel about how they only recieved limited stock.

In light of that, I would pick the 5Zigen FN01-RC's. Superlight, and 5-spokes look great on our cars. As for the size, 17's with 215/45 tires all the way.

I'd be getting them from a friend who knows a supplier, so...

Thanks guys. i'm ordering saturday, so keep the comments comming.

I called Mackin industries and got the info I wanted. It seems like there are no good places to look at or research those rims, SO, I had to go straight to the source.
Thanks guys

Ok, after having a discussion with the guy I can get parts through, I have discovered this: he can no longer get volk, and he is sorry. So, he is willing to cut me a deal on any set of Motegi rims,OR cut me one HELL of a deal on any set of Tenzo-R's I want.

And yes, from what he said, these are prices I cannot refuse. So, here are the two sets I am thinking of getting. Both will be really cheap,so price doesn't matter. I wanted some low weight rims, but what's an extra four pounds gonna do?

Motegi MMR's

Tenzo Apex-5's

Also, does tenzo make any lighter rims? I cannot find the weight of them anywhere...

Like I said, the only reason I am getting these is because I cannot refuse the price. So give me your opinion.

doesn't list the weight of the Apex-5's but they are all around 20 lbs.

http://www.gti-vr6.net/library/wheels_tire...wheels_S-Z.html

as for weight not mattering I beg to differ. since "each pound of rotational mass lost provides an equivalent performance gain as a 10 pound reduction in vehicle weight", the difference between 17 lb wheels and 20 lbs would be 120 lbs of total mass.

Good man. that's why your a moderator! I discovered that American racing makes motegi... and Motegi has a side brand called Roja.

Roja has a brand of Forged and cast rims that are about 6.something kg, so I'm good to go now wink.gif

The ones I am getting are 6.8 kg. smile.gif that's what... 15ish pounds. That's Really great for 17's!

Ok guys, here (hopefully) is my final decision about what to do with my excess cash.

These are Enkei RSF-2's. I will be getting them with Nitto Neo Gen tires. My question is this: Do I get 16's for $150 cheaper for everything,or 17's for about a grand? They are both seven inches wide, but on the 17's I'd have 215's and on the 16's,I'd have 205's.

So, 17's or 16's?

nice choice bro. a member of this forum has those, his name is pressure2 I think. anyways they will look great on your celi. for size I would go with the 17s, anything smaller isn't worth it imho, unless your going strictly for performance of course.

205/45/17...what does it mean, i know that 17 is the diameter of the rim, what is 45 and 205..what are their significance....

Basically: 215-45-17 means

215=how wide the tire is in mm I think
45 is how tall the side wall is,
17, you guessed it!

And I didn't know for sure myself for a long time. It's better to ask than guess like I did for the longest, lol. I guess it's MM's?

Dude, somebody else has them? Now I'm not sure I want them.... well, nobody I know around here has them, so who cares? wink.gif
