Will they stand up to a long trip? (say, 700-800 miles) or will they overheat and cause problems?

Thanks! One more question, and I know this is state-specific. If I install the header, make a bung on the downpipe for the 2nd O2 sensor, and install a cat convertor after it, will I still pass inspection?

Wrap them if you want to crack the welds.

Yeah, wrapping them cracks the welds. Happened on my dad's AE86, he then told me never to wrap a header and proceeded to curse.

Hector I unplugged the second O2 I don't know if OBDII guys have a problem without it, but I know my 94 runs perfect, no CEL...since you have a 95 I would presume you wouldn't need it either. I also removed the cat...and just FYI I've driven it from NY to NC and header is OK. I have had an issue with the 2 to 1 pipe loosening up. I ended up putting two nuts on, also had to make myself a new gasket for it because the original fried after repeated loosening and tightening.

I'm getting a shop to extend it so I might as well have them weld the 2nd O2 bung, ya know? And I want the exhaust to sound as good as possible, so I'm going with a hi-flow cat.

It takes 8,460 bolts to assemble an automobile, and one nut to scatter it all over the road.

Celica: The name is derived from the Spanish word for "heavenly" or "celestial".

There is really no reason to want to keep engine bay temperatures down. There is nothing that will melt around the header. Wrapping them will cause it to fail prematurely.

Alright, well I'm ordering a hi-flow cat and getting my header sent to me from home. Hopefully in less than 2 weeks, I'll have it all buttoned up.
