Hey guys, i have been in the car game for a while. I have a 92' VR4 with many mods but i just traded my 89 Trooper winter beater for a 94' Celica GT. has 200k+ on the body but only about 100k on engine and trans but it runs great! has some body damage and needs paint but its not bad. only real problem it has is a slight power steering leak and it has a CEL. i did a diagnostic on it today and came up with 2 codes. 24 and 41. i believe they are for intake air temp sensor signal and TPS signal. im gonna investigate them later today but was wondering if their are any free mods you can do to these things? only mod is a exhaust. looks like a cheap ebay exhaust but suprisingly sounds decent.

meh... not really free but lot's of cheap stuff to get her up to shape. For example SRI's run about 13 bucks on E-Bay. 40 bucks will line you up with top of the line Spark plugs, wires are fairly cheap to... what like 60 tops for NGKs? something like that...
The speakers are great because noting fits them. Witch is super fcuking awesome because the frames are made where you can pretty much mount anything to em (8" or less) using 13cent's worth of self mounting screws (how-to via the Houston Crew. Thank you; thank you) Run threw the stickys and you'll have more idea's than you'll know what to do with. a solid $20 bill will get you moving in the direction you want to go., Today! Or atleast get your addiction started. Welcome to the fourms, and We'll look foward to your progress. I hope to see great things from you in the near future. Welcome
NJ is an awesome spot for celi's too quite a few there, and we normally have at least 1 meet there a year + another not to far from NJ, hope you can meet up with all of us sometime Like dman said check out all the stickies and how too's, wouldnt necessarily say lots of mods are FREE, but you can do quite a bit with some work, imagination, and ambition . Lots of simple wiring, and lighting (led vents, doors, underseats) can be done cheap. Idk your style but, the whole interior can come out easy and paints easy, i did it, cheap gives it a custom look. Bodykits really arent that expensive if you look, just putting them on is hard/expensive if you dont do it. CAI/SRI are cheap and gives it a nice sound (no real power gins, but sounds nice) Tons of swaps are realistic (expensive, but realistic) Keep browsing the forum and hope you stick around and take car of ur celi -------------------- |

Nice, I had a 94 3kgt that i got from trading my celica. Then i traded that for a miata But now I want a celica. All of these are great cars, but the miata is killer slow compared to the 3k. But as far as free mods. Weight reduction. The most common free mod that everybody overlooks. The Celica may have low HP ratings and a sh*t power curve, but that doesn't really matter when your car is as light as a bicycle.
