I have two transmissions I am selling or will trade for something of equal value.
93 JDM 3sge Transmission - FWD 42k 96 (I think) 5sfe Transmission - FWD ??k under 100k though The 3sge is painted black Make offers

Is there anything wrong with either of them, I want a new tranny for my car, something that shifts near perfect.

I have not driven either of them
The 3sge one was purchased from a transmission importer and was in working condtion when removed and was looked over by them. I have done no Mods to it or anything since I purchaced it. I spent 350 on it. The 5sfe I purchased from Quartar11 - mike @ top shelf racing, and it is still in the box that he sent it in.. havent even opened it

the 3sge, they both would fit my mr2 but the 3sge is probably beefier |

Yes and no.. It will bolt up fine to the motor but the starter is in the wrong position.. at least I think it is. I never got a starter for it to be exactly sure. you can solve this problem with the bell housing off of a 5sfe, which is why I have both of these transmission. I was gonna do it but desided that the MR2 tranny is probably gonna be better suited for the final goals I have for my motor but this setup is supposed to hold up to 400hp no prob. Were you going swap the housings yourself or have a shop do it? I just did taht and it ran me about a 1000.

I have a 7AFE engine, 7AFE tranny, and a 5SFE tranny if you want any of those I can include it for fairly cheap or I will sell it to someone who wants it.
7AFE has a little over 100,000 miles but it works like new because of replacements. 5SFE tranny has less than 40000 miles |

the only transmission I am currently looking for is the MR2 Turbo one I did look last night at the 3sge tranny agian you might be able to make it work on the 3sgte with out changing the bellhousing to a 5sfe one if you cut out the plate that covers the gaps between the side of the block and the transmission housing... for anyone that has ever taken a trans off a 3sgte you will know what I am talking about.. I also found my starter for the 3sge but it is still in the box and I didnt have time to see if it would fit but it looks like there might be enuf room under the turbo to make it fit, if I get some time tonight I will check on that for you
