So I'm seriously considering buying these rims tomorrow. I dont know if I should go 17s or 18s. A member on here has em' in black and 17" and it look quite small. Here's what I'm thinking of, with tires:
17x8 - 225-45-17 or possibly 235-45-17 18x8 - 235-45-18 What do you guys think? I'm not dropped much at all. Maybe 1.5". These are in silver finish. Here's what they look like. This post has been edited by block: Feb 28, 2011 - 8:35 PM -------------------- |

ha no way in hell 17" look too small. They are the perfect size for looks in my opinion!! I'd think they would look great. get 225 width tires.

I'm going for looks. I'm planning on getting Enkei RPF1's for track in the future.

I had 18's on my 205, i now have 17s.
Honestly, I much prefer the look of 18's. Just go with 45 series rubber. 40 is just too little. -------------------- current project: looking :(

if you get 18x8 with 225/45 tire, depending if your lowered and the offset you will probably rub.
I have 18x8, 225/40 with a 35 offset lowered an tien stechs and i rubbed the rear fender by about a 16th of an inch, only b/c my struts are starting to go. 40 series on an 18 really isn't that bad, if looks are what you're going for I'd go with 18s EDIT, just realized you said you were dropped 1.5", with a 45 series you will most likely rub in the rear if your fenders are not rolled This post has been edited by jordisonjr: Feb 28, 2011 - 11:28 PM -------------------- -Protection mode, For when your amp tries to blow its load. 1995 Toyota Celica GTS - Daily Driver 1999 Chevy Cavalier - Winter Beater 1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Dead My Celica! |

Do you have pics? I swear even though I'm dropped there is like a 4-5 finger gap in the rear. Btw, offset is 35 and I have basically new kyb with less than 500 miles..

Just my 2cents~
if for 5SFE and 3SGE 17 x 8 ET35 would be perfect, I rather choose 215-45-17 instead of 225... 215 tyres would be lighter, quicker response when start~ if you have fund, simply go for RPF1, forget about this BBS lookalike and AVS lookalike brand~ -------------------- |
