Thinking of a new unique celi project, throw out ideas Options

Haven't posted in a very long time because i dont do anything in the winter, so hello everyone
I still want the 3s i just cant save the money long enough lol burns too much of a hole. With that said I have most of the money saved, so all these projects are completely realistic.
►Anyhow looking more interior/exterior that hasnt been done (or much) to the celica the amount of work isnt really an issue if i like the idea enough. Obviously I'm not converting to a normal white gt4 look, its just not me.
►I am repainting the car in the summer (have a few spots that are messed up and what not from being my first paint job). So I want to do absolutely everything i can possibly think of before painting.
►The rear i am thinking of putting in supra lights (94+). As i dont really like the jdm tails, but want something different. Very open to suggestiong about changing the rear bumper to something completely unique . and like i said if i like the idea, ill do it
►Will be adding a roof scoop (very small) just to go along with the hood. but ive never seen a celica with a roof scoop, has it been done?
►Love the front invader bumper, but thinking of different headlights. Projectors are nice, but i want to go all out if im doing it . I know there are a few members who have taken the challenge of changing to something different, if anyone could point me in the right direction, maybe some pics that would be awesome.I know alot, or everybody will think im retarded and say just buy a supra lol (im thinking of the clear headlights they have too) but i like the celica more, just want it to be different. Im up for any conversion ideas, its just i can see the supra projects im my mind on how i'd complete them.

I never finished my sub box of amp rack as many at meets have seen, but i never did for a reason. Im still thinking of going bigger :X! With 2 Fi Btls 18"s. And a rockford amp. With those I would do the same basic set up, but finish it all in fiberglass to make it actually flow, not just a giant doghouse in my back seat.
►Alarm systems. Ive never dealt with any before, but im sure its not that complicated with some direction. I assume I would need gt doors, with power locks/windows. Any sort of a thread write up or info would help.

Tell me what you think, what yay what nay, should the 3s just be it? Be brutally honest (within forum rules), i am looking for your input.

I'd say keep saving for the 3s. All of your ideas have already been done, some turning out better than the others, so you wouldn't be doing anything unique or groundbreaking.

There are some problems with a few of your ideas.

Supra tails- They've been done. But they didn't look good at all. The Supra and the Celica are similar- but NOT the same. The Supra is a larger car, and all body parts have been sized accordingly. The tails are too big for a Celica and they very obviously don't belong. The shape of a Celica is entirely different than a Supra.

Clear lenses on your headlights- There's a reason Toyota never did this for us. There's a reason they stuck with diffused lenses and projectors. Those diffusers spread the light out. Projectors spread the light out. If you put clear lenses on your headlights, you might as well duct tape a couple of flashlights to the hood. Your visibility will vanish.

Lambo doors- this fad died in 2002. If necromancy is your thing, hey, go for it. By all means, bring it back from the dead. I don't think it died because people didn't like the look. I think it died because people got sick of trying to be a gymnast to get in and out of their cars. Lambo doors on cars not designed for them are impossibly impractical.

Alarm systems- Yes, you will need power locks. No, it isn't as simple as wiring in a sound system. Toyota's wiring harnesses are not nicely labeled. They are not color coded it any way that makes sense to anyone not familiar with it. It's best to leave that to somebody who is more familiar with it.

My advice- do yourself a favor. Do the 3S swap. Because when all is said and done, you'll have Supra tail lights, clear headlight lenses, Lambo doors, and a car that's still slower than my dead grandmother.

►it seems to be a general consensus to keep saving for the 3s . I guess ill keep trying, i mean i make enough money, i just cant save it Im sure alot of you know the feeling. Maybe ill just buy get jim the money so he can get me a good engine so im not waiting in the summer. I know the gt tranny can hold up, but if im doing it im going to get the 153lsd.
►afterburners, I wanted when i planned on going black, I just cant see them looking good with my color.

►I basically did an alarm in my friends car back when i was in school, but it was a long time ago, a cheap one, only a few things and color coded and what not with the diagrams at our disposal. But if ur saying its hard i believe you ill get it priced out soon, and see if i can tag along the install
►The roof scoop no one Really addressed, i dont want a giant rallying scoop
►Has anyone done the Four top grille with the invader bumper? I can picture it, but an actual picture would help, if i like it But i could never change my sides, absolutely 110% in love with them lol

i have one 90-93 invader front bumper, , i had cut it in two section (horizontaly) and i have try to put it in the rear and if i keep only the side and cut all the middle it make a rear bumper really agressive, whit the hole and grill bumper cover the muffler,

oh wow, it took me a min to figure out what u were doing, i never even thought of something like that, but its a good idea. I like the front vader because of the mesh and aggressiveness. man get some more pics (better if possible lol) but thats a good idea you got going i hope it turns out looking good love to see the progress man

3) How about S15 taillights or ap1/ap2 taillights? There's one person i can think of that did the ap1 tails...
4) never seen the scoop done before but something small and fit the celica contour wouldn't be all that bad.

5) what about invader fronts with retro fitted projectors in a curren headlight?
Or swap in a dc2 headlights?

S14 kouki lights?

S15 lights?

list goes on.... why not go the extreme and get some audi headlights
6)Lambo doors i don't mind, my girl wants them on her celica... Just dont get the ones that goes completely vertical (its a hassle)
7)Interior? Dont know what kind of seats you want but I'm sure there are racing seats out there that matches your paint.
Just gotta look around, but make sure they are certified.

The 3S? If you want the speed to go with your looks then get one. If you want to perfect your exterior, then get the exterior mods done.
I never met you and I don't judge people by their tone on the internet so I don't know what kind of person you are, hence, what you want.
In the end, no matter what people say, you're the one that makes the decision.

I've seen a modified invader/veilside front bumper on a GT-Four which had the raised middle piece from an original st205 bumper including the grill added to it. So it had the GT-Four grill and lined up with the GT-Four bonnet (kinda like what malpaso did with his ss-four front conversion, except on a invader bumper), it looked pretty cool. It was a gt-four that was listed on a local auction website here in NZ a while ago, I didn't think to save any of the photos at the time though unfortunately. Its something that isnt done very often so it might be worth looking into maybe.

How about aston martin style tail lights

they have a similar shape to the celica rear end
but of course the dimension is similar to the supra so it might be too large

But as soon as jim messages me back ill be buying a 3s, but its going into a car that I will do anything i want to. any bodykit, tails, headlights, ect. it wont matter if they are differently shaped (as long as they dont look gigantic). I feel pretty confident in cutting and re molding bumpers to a different shape, so keep up the ideas
I remember now seeing someone with the gt4 insert in the invader, which i am seriously thinking of now, and with a gt4 hood, it would really pop still trying to find pics though

I like the ap1/2 tails too, but i still just like the style of supras more, just my thing

But that roof scoop is exactly! what i am thinking of, just a small one to go with the curves the celica already has.

I do also like soundsluts Porsche? headlights, but those look a bit more challenging

I would personally love to see all kinds of 6gen modifications.

We don't have aftermarket support to begin with and sooner or later with all this JDM JDM JDM, all of our cars will look the same.

THANK YOU! lol I mean i like the jdm, and all the gt-4 fronts that everyone wants, i just dont want what everyone else wants. if im spending the money i may as well be a little unique, and try things. Even if they dont work, or dont turn out as well as i'd hoped... i can always just start over
Well after i get the 3s and the new shell car, i can really dive into these ideas
