heres the deal. i just got a pair of racing seats. they are red and black and i want to get the back seats reupholstered to match. i went to a shop the yesterday and they quoted me $650 for just the back seat in cloth. i really dont know how much this usually goes for but that sounds pretty high considering materials for it couldn't be more that 50-75 bucks. does this price sound reasonable to you guys? do i have any other options like katskinz or something.
thanks for the help,
nick

That does sound pretty high. I'd get some quotes from other shops and see what their prices are like.

yea thats waaay to high
i took the seats apart and my mom did the sewing, after figuring out where to get hog rings and the special pliers (used to hold together old mink cages at least thats what my g-pa said ) and where the rods went we redid the seat for easily 50 bucks and that was the fabric, heavy duty upoulsty (sp?) thread and a few sewing maching nedles she broke...

I think the member chrobis did some stuff that looked pretty good when I saw it, talk to him. He also got some embroidery which looks sweet.
