I recently drove a road I haven't driven since I FIRST got my celica, and it really made me think of all the stuff that has happened with or because of this car. This thread is designed to share some of your most memorable moments you've had with your car. From driving that perfect curvy road, to bringing your newborn baby home, or to even something that happened on 6gc.net, post up here! Try to think about it, dont just post some moment that made you smile. Also try to narrow it down to a few and try not to add every 5 minutes please..
I'll start. I'd have to say its between going to my first meet, which was only composed of like 8 cars and it was cold as hell, but it was still amazing to see other celicas that were modified so beautiful, or pulling out of the paint booth and just standing back and smiling for ever. Either actually driving it home, after knowing that I just bought my very own car with my own money after so much hard work and saving up, or standing back and smiling after I fixed my front end and completely changed the look of her with a facelift bumper.

Wow this brought back so many good moments, but.........one huge one.
After a winning streak in the street races with my swapped and semi built and tuned 3sgte celica (dont condone illegally racing) I remember that there was a 500+ claimed honda civic with a type r built turbo that was constantly trying to race me but i was so scared of well losing money and my rep lol. So one weekend his buddy was suppose to race me and when the time came in front of 200+ spectators he jumped in and his friend moved off to the side....I didnt want to look like a baby so I went along with it and off we went......off the line I remember him spinning and me (thank goodness for LSD) locking both wheels and taking off...I had 4 cars off the line and I saw him creeping (damn vtec) but I won by 2 cars and man o man I saw all his buddies with their jaws wiiiide open... I think the video is still online but his friends were recording and you can hear them going WTF????? Ahhhh that was engraved in my head forever...... I just want to say I do not condone illegal street racing It was ages ago I was young and stupid..... This post has been edited by yungazzdriver: Mar 6, 2011 - 10:12 PM |

My most memorable moment? Right after I bought my first one, my stepmom was driving it home and I was riding with her, she told me that she thought my auto ST might be too fast for me.

its in my 7th gen, but the night i tuned it and made 545HP to the wheels, i was driving home, my friend Jesse was in the pass seat. it was 2AM and i rolled into it in 3rd gear and it was pulling hard, untill i hit lift. The torque steer was so MASSIVE it pulled me across 3 lanes of traffic into the oncoming side. luckily it was 2AM and we were alone on the streets. scared the crap out of both of us

Most memoriable moment was actually with Lil_JOe....
Was giving him a test drive in my car, and while driving in an area under development (lots of empty new streets with no cars or people in sight), i came drifting into an intersection ending the drift into a doughnut, then screaming out of the doughnut down the street and then just cruising my way on out the area...... The look on Joe's face was priceless.... -------------------- (\__/)

Besides moment my car was cleared from Border Crossing in MT by customs back in 2004, towing ST205 through Chicago.I had a pack of 4-7 cars around the
car almost entire way through suburbs (highway) pointing and staring.. Long drive left 7pm Thurs and was home 5pm Monday 4400 mile drive and a trailer with car on it both ways.. The whole trip had a lifetime of memories that far exceeded Celica world..I turned 30 that year so will always be vivid memory of that time in my life. This pic is just across border into Minnesota from South Dakota at 5am..Drove 1100miles previous day. Just out of curiosity did you disconnect the rear end when you towed it down? Ive heard on awd/rwd cars if you tow like that i can damage the drive train parts

Can i be the first one to say getting "lucky" in the backseat of my ST185?
With the 205, would definitely have to be driving her home when first purchased, so much more power than my 185, was such a nice upgrade. -------------------- current project: looking :(

my most memorable moment happened this past fall during the midwest meet. We were flying up and down the twisty roads near our meeting spot when I oversteered the celi during a downhill decreasing radius turn. I was completely caught by surprise since the tires weren't making any noise before they let go. But I guess there were a few factors that I should have taken notice of, namely the fact that the road was no more than 2 weeks old, and that my tires were still brand new.
So that was a particularly memorable moment for me. Hopefully I wont have another one of those any time soon O.O -------------------- |

^ I remember something similar happening at the first FL meet, interesting stuff...that particular section of road is now called "Ferdi's corner."
But my most memorable moment is undoubtedly the first time I saw the Celi. All done up by the dealer, tires shined, waxed (somewhat, presumably), looked like a silver diamond sitting on this lot of sh!t Ford dealership (with the exception of the Mustang). I don't remember the details of what first caught me about the exterior (besides the aura), but I remember opening the door and just being wowed by the interior. I loved the center console and the quality feel of the inside, and that's what sold me. -------------------- '97 ST \ Eibach \ KYB \ Kenwood \ Alpine \ Cusco \ OEM+ [sold 10/18]

Hmmm the interior of a celica is pretty awesome....dont know why it seems so lacking...but so much space to add things, lol -------------------- (\__/)

My most memorable moment was probably the first day I got my Celica (2006).
I'll start out by saying I was lucky enough to have my first car bought for me by my dad.. who got a good deal as he was a car salesman and he got the same day it came into the dealership. I was called by my dad to look outside the window and I did and didn't see anything. Then a second later I saw my car coming down the road in all its sexiness.. All I could do was run outside to watch it pull up to the driveway. Actually I couldn't drive it at the time cause it was a month before I was able to get my driving permit, so I sat in the driveway in my car for a good bit.. Also, it just so happened to be the exact car I would skate by when I was in 8th grade, thinking "I wanna car like this one day" The lady who owned it before traded it in because she was 'tired of driving stick.'
