So, even though I love living in Okinawa, the weather does NOT like to be nice to our cars. Sadly, I found I had a nice little rust hole in my deck lid along with two other spots that are just about to turn into holes as well. Thankfully I was able to go to a local JY and for 50 bucks got a new deck lid with spoiler in the same color as my car. Sadly, I will have to pay to have the nice tinted glass from the old one to be put into the new one that has glass that it isn't tinted at all.

Long story short, I decided to mess around with the old deck lid. (Sorry, forgot to post pics of what a 6gen looks like with no deck lid at all. It was kinda cool, pun intended, and boy did I get weird looks while driving to the JY!) Both have the 3-post spoiler and I was wondering what it would look like with only the side posts. SO, for all those interested in what it would look like without photo-shopping, here you go!! Not sure if i like it enough to adapt it to the new deck lid yet though...

It looks so much better. Though, I'm still not a fan of 96+ spoiler - lookwise anyways. I prefer 94-95.

I'm actually converting a 3 post to a 2 post on a spoiler from a vert/coupe as part of my project. I think it looks sick.

Did this years ago tongue.gif

And my new project Celica, too.

There's a weird slot left in the bottom of the spoiler that takes some getting used to when you see it in your rearview mirror, but this looks a hundred times better than the 3 post.

seeing the spoiler on the actual car makes it look that much better. (I honestly did look for a thread about this with photos, lol!) yeah, I was never a fan of the 3-post myself either

I just made a thread and never actually mentioned the spoiler in the thread. In order to find out that I did it, you would have to ask somebody who happened to know. It's definitely a good mod for the car after you plug the hole in the trunk lid. The spoiler does become slightly flimsier without the post in the middle, so it's not like you want to sit on the spoiler. But I've had the middle post removed from my black car for a few years now and never had a single issue. Well worth it and I'm glad to see that somebody else has the same idea. I can't wait to see this on your car. thumbsup.gif

Looks awesome!! Nice alternative to the 94-95 two post.
