so i lost some coolant back in september from me messing around so i added some. today it was warm out so i turned my temp switch to the cold position but not with the ac on and my temp gauge went down, alot. not all the way to cold but it dropped alot. is there and air bubble in there? and how much do coolant flushes usually cost.

I dunno about the first thing, but I know Pep Boys charges $89.99 for a coolant flush.

I KNOW. I'm not paying $90 for a coolant flush. I'll do it myself later...

I remember my temp gauge went all the way down after a hot day, turns out the thermostat was stuck open. Replaced it and everything was back to normal

If um not mistaken u can just buy it in auto zone and do it your self. All the steps are given, i did it on my 88 rx7. U just have to run in for a while and disconnect the bottom hose from the radiator.
After all the coolant is out, put the hose back fill it up, leave it open and start the engine, that way all the air will go out. And then put for coolant if needed. |
