Definitely a good looking car, 7,500 might be a bit high, id try to get them down to maybe 6,500, as the Timing belt and possibly clutch will need to be done in the future(depending on the way it was driven). But it looks to be pretty solid and shop maintained its whole life thumbsup.gif

It's definitely clean. But that's a lot of money for a 12 year old car, even with low mileage. Regardless of mileage, parts still age and fatigue with time, so definitely talk them down on the price some. Then again, if you have $7,500 and you like the car, go for it thumbsup.gif

I saw that a couple days ago and whistled aloud; she's a real beaut but that price is kinda high. Try to talk them down with the things SupraKid mentioned along with the fact is doesn't have leather interior.

But as a comparison there is a '99 GT 'vert here in Fayetteville that's got 146k miles, kinda crappy interior, and has been sitting on a lot for 2+ years...and they want 7995 for her. kindasad.gif

Either way, good luck! thumbsup.gif

She is nice, but that is pricey. The extra money spent on low mileage could be used to rebuild the 5sfe in there, and be at 0 mileage...just saying =P

Those door speakers look old/blown as well. Thats another point to bring up!

But, please purchase and sell me that steering wheel. I wants.

I agree the price is high, about $1,500 more then what I'd expect.
He must have set it at dealer price instead of private seller price.

I'll give a call tomorrow and see if I can check it out.

ask for maintenance records. from another vert owner, youll love it. take care of the top and the quarter windows, the rest is as any other celica.

i paid 4500 for mine. this one a good 6000 to 6500 bring him down, shoe him the money.

in this high gas prices, all the little cars are not getting cheaper

in the end its justified but what its worth to you, i've walked away from many clean cars because in the end the price tag wasnt worth it to me even if the book price was spot on, then again i have paid well above cost for a car in so so shape because its what i wanted. keep in mind though any car that age is not going to be trouble free there will always be something that goes wrong that looked fine when you bought it so if 7500 is the top of your budget range you might wanna look for one where you have some room for unexpected repairs

As everyone has been saying, price is real high. I feel like something equal could be sought after for something more like $5k. Nice looking car though, of course, hence the high asking price.

It's a 12 year old car, book value is probably meaningless. It could be well worth that or more, or worth a lot less,,, there are no good measuring sticks when they get that old. Bottom line: It's worth exactly as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

Personally, I'd consider it for that price.

EDIT: chances are 7000 will drive it home, I'd offer 6500, come up to 7 if necessary.

Why are 6g celicas so overpriced?? $5000 for a 96 with 125k...pffftt RIPOFF, and that 99 is only worth 3500 max. I can get a 2000 GTS for way cheaper than that and they are way better. Jus sayin rolleyes.gif
