My car shifted perfectly before I did my own clutch change despite the car revving sporadically when the old clutch slipped, but when I replaced the fluid I changed over to MOBIL 1. I've bled the clutch a couple of times, checked my shifter cables, and even re-adjusted my clutch to factory specifications (the pedal sits pretty high now...think i might adjust it back down). I've heard of users on this site using Synchromesh...anybody with experience please let me know if this alleviated your shifting issues.

Symptoms: Sometimes when I'm stopped I have issues getting the car back into first and have to shift through second and roll it back into first. When shifting to third the car doesn't want to accept the gear for a moment and takes a second for it to drop into place. Wasn't having trouble like this at all before the clutch change.

Have bled the clutch line multiple times. There is no air in it.

I can vouch for Synchromesh, it's the only thing I put in my transmission now. Changed to it after having the car about 6 months and there was a definite notice in how smooth the shifts were.

I doubt it's going to fix your problem though, yours sounds like a clutch issue, like it's not completely disengaging.

It could be an issue with it not disengaging, but I doubt it. I just re-filled the tranny with synchromesh, and the shifts are surprisingly smoother. Third gear still gives me a few issues. I just don't understand what could have happened. I never even opened the valve on the slave cylinder when i swapped the tranny.
