Did you guys know that Jeff left ToyotaWorld (Champion)? about a year ago. WOw, the main hookup for JDM parts and price discounts. They mentioned since he left would probably be a "NO" to jdmparts from now on since Jeff handled that portion.

Sure, but Jeff was a convenient way to get things non jdm and jdm, gives you a decent price, and also goes out of his way to do research as well. Plus this was a good option because sometimes you just can't find used good condition parts or if you just wanted them new. He was very personal with transactions and not just what do you need or we don't have it. He would interact to help you like a friend. He was very good at remembering people as well.

Theres always ways to get jdmparts but that requires a little bit more effort, plus he was my workaround to getting nonDOT parts to my place without being detected. Customs always stopped my parts from coming in from asia, since he shipped from US territory it helped alot, my boxes weren't inspected after that. Once customs sees a toyota box coming from US its not suspicious to them.

I just talked to some other guy at toyotaworld, wasn't the same, it was just "these are our prices, I can't get you those parts, or IDK Jeff doesn't work here no more so can't help you". Or they asked me you find the part number and I'll check, Jeff would find out for you. This is the difference.

Nothing to cry over, just sucks, he made things pretty easy, if you didn't know what you were talking about he would keep conversating until you agreed that was the part or he would even send faxes of his part catalog so that you could point it out. He just went out of his way to help even for 5 dollar parts. I'm sure he was a main contact point for many 6gcers.

Yeah - and that doesn't include the vents either... or the heat shield, or the washer sprayers, etc. Just the hood.

Not that the other stuff matters too much, but for that amount of bread, the hood better scratch my nuts when I need it... lol. tongue.gif

/thread highjack

Jeff will be missed, I ordered a few things from him up here in Canada - (recommended by this site) - and he was always good with the shipping costs, etc.

yeah. jeff was awesome. he even gave me quotes for the whole gt4 conversion with shipping. thanks to him i was able to follow a more cost effective route when i bought my parts. yes he will be missed indeed. but i've dealt with aaron too and he is just as good to deal with. although i wasn't able to get free shipping for being in canada and for the size of the order i made which was understandable but he did offer a really good shipping rate which was maybe 4x less than how much it would cost for me to ship the same package. he also threw in some bonus toyota goodies (a deluxe leather notepad and desktop calculator) which i totally unexpected but it did put a smile on my face.
