My rear passenger wheel bearing is due for replacing. I called carquest to see how much it would be for the part. The bearing/hub itself is one assembly, and does not need to be press fit like the wheel bearings in the front of the suspension. I have all wheel disc brakes, but don't have ABS. According to Carquest it's 110 dollars for a Non-ABS hub assembly, but is only 74 dollars for an ABS hub assembly. These assemblies should be nearly identical minus the ABS ring. Is it possible to use the ABS hub assembly or do I have to spend the extra money to get something that should be seemingly less expensive. I can only imagine that the difference in price is due to the amount of each that they sell. Non-ABS being more rare. Insight?
