I'm sure this is already been covered, so I apologize in advance. A search (both site & google searches) didn't yield a definite answer.
But to my question... why am I getting slightly different results on Tirerack between a 95 GT and 97 GT? For example, front & rear Brembo blanks show up on the 95, but the rears (P/N 25162) do not show up on the 97 search on Tirerack. I'm doing a GT brake upgrade on my ST, so I need rotors & pads, front & rear. Donor parts will be from a 97. I guess the simpler question is, do the rear Brembo blanks P/N 25162 fit all years? Are pads the same for all years, front & rear? thanks |

front and rear pads are always different because they are different sizes.
as for the differences between 97 and 95, on autozone the pads have different part numbers, you would just have to get pads for a '97. Hawk has a wider range for the '95, but they are just different thicknesses. The '97 only has two different options. http://www.hawkperformance.com/parts/ |

And to clarify, it's 94-95 and 96-99.

Yeah, I understand all that, but what's weird is, if I enter in the OEM part numbers for rear pads (04466-32050 for 95-96, 04466-20020 for 97-99) in 1sttoyotaparts, I get the same part, or at least the same price.
Why is the part catalog (http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=72150) listing two different numbers then? Most part sites are listing the same rear rotors & pads for all years.... god I'm confused. Was there a caliper design change in 96-97 or something? And to clarify, it's 94-95 and 96-99. Woops, yes, that's what I meant. Thanks |
