Well, I was really looking forward to getting my car today... but grrrr... I didn't. As I was on my way to pick up my car, guess what happened? It started to rain. And what is "fresh paint and clear coat's" worst enemy? WATER!
 GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I seriously have the worst luck! Oh well... I'll just have to get her tomorrow... but unfortunately folks, I won't have time to take pics and post. I have to catch a flight at 3PM PST and won't be back till Xmas evening around 11PM. I'll post pics on Friday... -Ray |

It's all good. I'm just going to have a hard time deciding who's car I love more now though--doGGy or you. Sure, yours will win in a race any day of the week.. but his custom interior and body work.. *drool*

LOL, you make it sound like a competition. I'm doing all this for my own self gratification. Speaking of gratification... I'm so happy. My brother's Xmas gift to me just came in today. He musta been kickin himself really hard trying to figure out what to get me... and I must say... this has got to be the best gift my brother could have ever gotten me... the GT-FOUR model... I can't wait to put it together... I'm just debating if I should model it after my car... or should I model my car after it...

December 23, 2003 Well, I got to M1 around 12 PM hoping that I would be able to pick up my car, but unfortunately, they were still spraying my car. I had a bad feeling that I wouldn't be able to pick up the car to get the muffler installed and smogged... and sure enough... that's exactly what they told me. They told me that since it was raining... my paint would get damaged. I stuck around till about 2 PM, and took off. They told me to come back around 11 AM the next day. They were going to put 6 guys on my car to make sure that I could pick it up right away to get my stuff done... and have enough time to catch my 3 PM flight.
December 24, 2003 I got to the shop at 11 AM exactly and found my car HALF-WAY pieced together. I was really worried because I still needed to get the muffler installed and my car smogged. And the way my car looked, it wasn't gonna get done till 12 to 12:30. Well, guess what? They didn't finish till 1PM. Because of this, I didn't get to do what I planned on doing AND I had to drive back home IN TRAFFIC. So I missed my 3 PM flight back to the Bay Area... but fortunately caught the 4:20 flight. To top it all off... I lost my driver's license at the airport. I also scraped (once) coming home on the freeway... yes... my car is THAT low... grrrrr. So yeah... no pictures yet because not only didn't I have time, but my girlfriend took my camera home with her... Oh yeah, they also didn't get to install everything COMPLETELY, such as my wing and the weathering strip for the rear windshield. There apparently was a missing rivet-thingy on one of the GT-FOUR posts, which would keep me from using one bolt. I told them to just fix it and have it ready when I bring the car back on the 10th to get color sanded. They promised to get it done, and detail my car... December 25, 2003 HELL YEAH! I just poured in some Cool Blue (110 octane gas) and took my roommate for a test drive... and this time (unlike the last couple times I drove my car), I gunned it on every gear. 1st gear is so torquey... it took my breath away... I could feel the car WANTING to go faster, but the tires were just TRYING to jump forward to keep up... So my itinerary for tomorrow (the 26th) when I get up is as follows: 1. I MIGHT install my stock front springs to prevent anymore scrapage... I'm hoping that the springs that I left at my parents house are my stock FRONT springs and not the REAR. This will only be temporary until I get my new wheels and coilovers. 2. Go to DMV to get a temporary license, since I lost mine license at the airport, and a one-day pass to drive the car, since the car is not registered. 3. Get my muffler installed. 4. Get my car smogged. 5. Go back to DMV to register my car. 6. Go to SD to visit my gf and her family... and get my camera back. 7. Take pictures.... 8. Come back home and post pictures. So yeah... it's gonna be a pretty busy day for me. Merry Xmas again and happy new years people... |

Wow. I really cannot wait to see these pictures.
Im glad to hear that youre finally out having fun with the car, and post pics the minute you can. Also, make sure you send some pictures and information to a car magazine so that they will do an article on your car. Its absolutely sick dude.

Today was definitely NOT a good day. I honest to God believe my car is jynxed!!! After I got back from the DMV, I was going to TRY raising my car back to its stock height. I'm quite certain that the springs I brought back are for the front. After pulling out my jack, I tried looking for my Allen bolt to loosen my rims. But I couldn't find it anywhere. So I decided to just buy an 12mm Allen wrench later and just get my muffler installed and car smogged.
Well, that was bad luck number 1 (for today). When I got to the muffler shop, I discovered that they were closed! I guess they decided to take today off... how unfortunate for me... The smog shop was just 3 miles from this muffler shop, but there was nothing that I could do... bad luck number 2! So I decided to back track about 20 miles to a shop where I had my exhaust done a few years back. As soon as I exited and hit the city streets, I started to get this worried feeling... about 2 miles down the exit, I started seeing construction signs... and realized I SHOULD HAVE taken the exit before... So low and behold, I see steel plates on the road... and HOLY $H1T!!!! I slowed down to about 2 MPH... but that wasn't gonna do anything... I literally had to take those plates in an angle... but I couldn't because there were cars behind me on BOTH lanes... and UNFORTUNATELY... I hit and scrapped the steel plate, which knocked of my lip, slightly bent my fender, and scuffed my door. BAD F'KING LUCK NUMBER 3! Geeeeeeeeeeez... nothing has been going right for me... this whole bad luck f'king s**t has been happening since last week! When it rains, it pours... now when will this s**t END???? To top it off, the muffler shop was so busy that I was there for about 3 hours and didn't get a chance to have my car smogged. I didn't end up going to my gf's house to get my camera... and all my plans are now ruined. So yeah... sorry guys, but no GOOD pictures are going to come out of this for a while... I'll post some of the F'Ked up pictures when I get a chance... Sorry... I'm gonna go back and crawl into my cave now... |

that really sucks man. i feel for you.
one thing about those front lips... sooner or later you will crack it. its made out of fiberglass. even if you have your car sitting at stock hight, you will still crack it one day while parking or going over a speed bump. its just not worth having imho. you should maby look into some of the smaller lips that were made for the gt4. not anything drastic looking, just something to even out the front with the skirts. oh a lighter note, please tell us how the car feels with the 3sgte in there!

Well, I've made up my mind... I'm gonna get another GT-FOUR bumper... and leave it stock and use that for daily driving... then use the modified GT-FOUR bumper for shows... As for how my car feels... I smoked a 240 TOOOO easily... not much of a challenge... but I was so pissed after what happened today... I decided to finally run someone. There must've been 5 or 6 cars that tried to run me today... but I just ignored them... 2 integs, 1 v6 accord, 1 gst eclipse, and a truck... But on my way home... I just couldn't take it and went at it. I gave the 240 a 4 car's length head start and smoked him in 3 seconds... he couldn't even catch up... Tomorrow should be a better day... I'll let the instigators have their fun at wasting their times... |

thats one reason why i wouldnt want a body kit, there are no flat roads here and all the driveways are made for trucks the other is all the attention it attracts. i would get my self in a lot of trouble if i had 6 people try to race me every day. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

Yup... it was that low... I thought my brother's MR2 was lower, but apparently not. His car cleared those plates... I just wish I remembered that the construction was being done on that street. If you (SoCal peeps) are familiar with the Rowland Heights area, the plates were on Nogales. I was trying to remember if they were on Nogales, Fullerton, or Fairway Dr. I guess that I guessed the wrong street... Anyway... I just got done raising my car. Man... I'm so beat... since I'm to cheap (right now) to rent some spring compressors... I had to be innovative... I basically used a vice grip... some wire... and um... patience... Took me 3 hours to try and remember how I lifted my car before. I haven't messed with the suspension in like 4 years... But yeah... it's lifted... and there's a slight gap in the wheel well now... The weight of the new motor is making it sit a little lower than before with the 7A. The gap doesn't really bother me tho... I care more about my kit than that stupid wheel well gap. Once I get new wheels... and CO's... we can all say buh bye gappy... EDIT: After driving around today... the gap is gone... my car looks as low as it did when I had the 7A and the custom lowering springs. That 3S motor sure is heavy...
