No good, as usual smile.gif I feel like I don't post on here much so I'm trying harder to contribute more. I spent some time cleaning her up today after some really harsh weather we've been having around here, enjoy smile.gif

Well I'll be seeing you guys on the 9th, but anytime you guys are up for a meet or just hanging out and getting food let me know. I'm always doing car related stuff when the weather is nice.

As for it being auto, I really want to do a BEAMS swap with a 5 speed as soon as I can figure out how to make it pass emissions with that setup.

Those 2GR's are going into everything! MR2/Celica/Corolla/Elise's. It's like the LSX engine of the Toyota world. Except with better MPG.

I know! I'm stoked. ~275hp/tq with the potential for 30mpg and OBDII compliance?

These emissions laws are killing me. I used to have a 20 valve swapped Corolla wagon and it was so much fun. I wish Cook and DuPage weren't so strict. Even if I did swap to a 3SGE it'd still pass no problem it jut wouldn't hook up to a computer. They should just make the test for 2000+ cars.

I agree. They should make all 15+ year old cars exempt.

I can't wait to see this car next weekend. That's clean. For what it's worth, the lower counties in Illinois don't require emissions testing. If you have a friend or relative down here willing to say the car is registered to them without giving you any headaches, then I'd do that and get started with the BEAMS swap.

I just did my emissions today, I asked a couple of guys at the place if there was a way to be "legal" and pass emissions... but they basically said no lol. I may have a way though. This shop I'm having do some work for me said as long as the engine and ecu is out of a car is the same age or newer they can make the OBDII port work smile.gif my fingers are crossed. Otherwise, I might have to find someone to register the car to...
