Hi there, my car did a strage thing yesterday.

Here is the story. Had 5th gear pop out once in a while,
solved it by using 2 quarts syncromesh and one quart lucas oil(manual).

Then went on a 30mile trip to the store. Came out and hopped in
in took off and no shifting at all. Managed to get 2nd, got back in the
lot and everything looked good all shift cables were workin.

Turned on and off a few times no luck. Then with it off I was able to get 3rd
Gear and take off. Worked perfect ever since.
I know tranny is old, but it seems fine again.

Anyone know what physical problem could cause this.
Well it still is working I guess it may be time for a new one pretty soon.

Update: Bleed clutch slave cylinder until new fluid appeared. Clutch and shifting A+ right now.

could be a clutch going.. but more than likely you need clutch fluid & a bleed
